In a paper recently published in the journal Science by researchers at Conservation Science Global, Inc., the U.S. Geological Survey, West Virginia University, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife, and others, shows that nearly half of studied Bald and Golden Eagles exhibited chronic lead poisoning, and that lead poisoning is a substantial barrier to the growth of eagle populations across North America.
